GAME & LEVEL DESIGN

GAMEPLAY

Using Mario’s iconic jump physics as a creative baseline. The core game design focused on taking this classic mechanic as a starting point to explore, tweak, and develop unique gameplay variations, shaping an original experience through mechanical evolution.

CORE INTENTIONS

GD_03.png

Progressive Mastery: Seamlessly onboarding the player without explicit text tutorials. The layout is engineered so that every new section demands a higher execution of the core mobility kit.

GD_02.png

Tension & Resource Friction: Creating a constant survival instinct by forcing a gameplay loop where precise platforming directly impacts resource management (Health, Ammo, and Metal tracking).

GD_01.png

Rewarding Exploration: Designing high-risk, vertical alternative paths to reward player curiosity and mechanical risk-taking with vital spaceship repair components.

GAME MECHANICS

DOUBLE JUMP (Boot Boost)
A powerful second leap from rocket-propelled boots for increased height and control.
